UCAS Holds Open Day in Shenyang

UCAS held an open day at the Institute of Metal Research in Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province, on June 22 for the 2014 enrollment of postgraduates. The event was co-organized by Shenyang Institute of Applied Ecology, Shenyang Institute of Automation, Shenyang Institute of Computing Technology and the Institute of Metal Research.

Besides the UCAS Admission Affairs Office, twelve institutes or colleges participated in this event, namely Institute of Semiconductors, Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Xi’an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics, Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology, College of Life Sciences, Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology, Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Shenyang Institute of Applied Ecology, Shenyang Institute of Automation, Shenyang Institute of Computing Technology and the Institute of Metal Research.

Nearly 700 graduate students from a number of universities in Shenyang were present at the open-day event.

Ran Yingzhi, Deputy Director of the UCAS Admission Affairs Office, together with the admission staff from the above-mentioned institutes, briefed the students through presentations and Q&A sessions on the university and each institute as well as their admission policies. The students present were also offered a chance to tour around several laboratories of some Shenyang institutes.
