The National Research Institutes Training Alliance held its 2014 annual meeting at the UCAS Yuquanlu campus on December 18.
The meeting was hosted by Prof. Liu Qing, Deputy Director of the Human Resources Division, Beijing Academy of Science and Technology and Prof. Huo Guoqing, Dean of the UCAS College of Technology Management.
Prof. Huo summarized the work of the alliance in 2014, highlighting the training programs for project leaders, heads of research institutes and innovation leaders, as well as programs tailored for those with specialized needs.
Representatives of 15 alliance members attended the meeting, voting to admit the Jiangxi Academy of Sciences, the State Oceanic Administration and the Yunnan Association of Research Institutes into the alliance, expanding the membership to 23.
Items on the agenda included the operating mechanism of the alliance and revision of its charter. The meeting unanimously approved several charter revisions, and elected UCAS as the convener for the alliance board.
