The SHAO-XMU Joint Center for Astrophysics was set up in the Department of Astronomy of Xiamen University by the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory (SHAO) of CAS and Xiamen University on December 31, 2014.
SHAO and Xiamen University have a long history of partnership in scientific cooperation, faculty and student exchanges and joint seminars for several years, resulting in many achievements.
The SHAO-XMU Joint Center for Astrophysics aims to establish outstanding disciplinary teams by selecting key projects and combining high quality resources of the two institutions to undertake significant scientific programs.
