QS President Visits UCAS

A delegation from Quacquareli Symonds (QS), led by QS President Nunzio Quacquarelli, visited UCAS on February 3. UCAS Vice-President Prof. Wu Yueliang met with the guests. Prof. Zhao Hong, Deputy Director of the UCAS School of Management, and Zhang Yan, China Director of QS, attended the meeting. 

Prof. Wu gave a warm welcome to the QS delegation, briefing them on the features of UCAS education and research, which is supported by CAS, stressing the internationalization and related achievements of UCAS.

Mr. Quacquarelli spoke highly of the integration of education and research by UCAS, expressing admiration for the unique cooperative mode of the Sino-Danish Center Program. In addition, he introduced QS and the necessity of university internationalization, describing the key elements related to the QS World University Rankings, such as research quality, graduate employability, career service support, instructional quality, innovation and knowledge transfer, and concluded by introducing QS services for enhancing university internationalization.

Both sides expressed sincere wishes for partnership and agreed to initiate cooperation in holding joint seminars, recruiting international students, sending Chinese students abroad and carrying out an MBA program.

QS is a British company specializing in education and study abroad. The QS World University Rankings is regarded as one of the three most influential university rankings in the world, along with the Times Higher Education World University Rankings and the Academic Ranking of World Universities.
