The 11th International Student Research Forum Held in Aberdeen, UK

The 11th  International Student Research Forum  was held successfully at the University of Aberdeen ,UK between 19th and 23th ,July 2015.  The forum was focused on  life and medical science. It was initiated by the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) and University of Tokyo in 2004. This year, more than 50 students from five universities attended this forum, including UCAS, University of Aberdeen, University of Nebraska Medical Center, University of Southern Denmark and the Griffith University.

 

The subthemes of the forum include Neuroscience, Infection and Immunity, Environment and Biological Systems, Novel Methodologies, Human Diseases, Molecular Biology, Health Science and Cancer. Young researchers form different countries shared their research achievements and methods during the short 3 days. Led by UCAS Vice President Wu Yueliang, the UCAS delegation (sponsored by the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences Education Foundation) comprised 10 PhD candidates and they gave presentations on their research projects and delivered wonderful speeches respectively.

 

The students enjoyed their time in Aberdeen. The city of Aberdeen is a unique, beautiful, and expressive city with many historical sites such as old castles. The students made friends, shared their passion for science, and enjoyed the moments of happiness. The three-day program inspired the students to further enhance their interests in and love for biology and medical science.
