Wu Yueliang Meets with Associate Vice-President of the University of Toronto

Prof. Joseph Wong, the Associate Vice-President & Vice-Provost International Student Experience of the University of Toronto (UT), visited UCAS on the afternoon of October 23. Prof. Wu Yueliang, Vice President of UCAS, met with the delegation of UT at the Yuquanlu campus.

Wu welcomed and briefed the Canadian visitors on the university – institute’s fusion of leadership, faculty, and management, as well as UCAS's “two-phase” mode of cultivation. He also overviewed the signed memorandum with UT this summer in Toronto, emphasizing the China - Canada collaborative programs.

Prof. Joseph Wong said UT was willing to cooperate closely with UCAS, and promoted the development of research, education and student exchange programs as soon as possible.

Both sides held preliminary discussions to promote cooperation in cultivating doctoral students.

Founded in 1827, the University of Toronto is a famous public research university with a main campus in Toronto, Ontario. UT has consistently been ranked amongst the best in the world. In the 2017 U.S. News university rankings, UT was ranked 21th in the world, and first in Canada. UT is also a member university of APRU.

On June 16th, UCAS signed MOU with UT about under graduate student exchange and research cooperation.
