The first Cross-Strait Annual Academic Conference on Science & Technology Management was held at the UCAS on Nov. 17-18.
The academic conference was hosted by College of Technology Management of UCAS and co-sponsored by Graduate Institute of Technology and Innovation Management of Chengchi University of Taiwan, China, Institute of Technology Management of Tsing Hua University of Taiwan, China, Graduate Institute of Management of Technology of Chiao Tung University of Taiwan, China.
Under the theme of “Science & Technology Management and Innovation”, the conference held an in-depth discussion on innovation theories and practices, industrial and regional innovation, and enterprises and S&T innovation.
In the first part of the conference, a number of reports were delivered by prestigious experts from CAS Institute of Policy and Management, Chengchi University of Taiwan, China, Tsing Hua University of Taiwan, China, Chiao Tung University of Taiwan, China, and Japan Science and Technology Agency. Then teachers and graduate students exchanged ideas on S&T management and innovation.
Experts present at the conference spoke highly of the conference, saying it laid the foundation for future cross-strait in-depth cooperation and joint efforts to promote development in S&T management.
The conference was attended by Yan Zhongzhou, Vice Director of the Department of Exchange, Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, Prof. Miao Jianming, Vice President of UCAS and Huo Guoqing, Dean of the College of Technology Management, UCAS.
