UCAS held a mobilization meeting for the military training of newly-enrolled undergraduate students at a base in Shunyi District on September 1.
The one-hour meeting started with the national anthem at 10 a.m. and included with a performance section, in which the training instructors displayed various military skills and won applause of the university green hands.
Speaking on behalf of the instructors, Wang Li said they would be strict and meticulous in the military training of UCAS’ first-ever undergraduate students. Student representative Yang Yang vowed to strictly observe the discipline, seriously take part in the training and learn from the strong characters of the soldiers.
The military training will be held from August 31 to September 13 at a student military training base in Shunyi District as a special way to hone their will and character and prepare themselves for the new campus life.
