UCAS International Students Attend the "EU-China: Cultural Flows & Mutual Learning" Forum in Beijing

25 European Union (EU) graduate students from the Sino-Danish Center (SDC) and the International College (IC) of UCAS attended the "EU-China: Cultural Flows & Mutual Learning" Forum held by the China Ministry of Education, preceding the second meeting of the China-EU People to People High Level Dialogue at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing on September 6, 2014.


Vice Premier Liu Yandong and European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth Androulla Vassiliou addressed the forum, encouraging cultural and educational exchanges, mutual learning and understanding between China and EU, especially by young adults.


Over 200 Chinese and EU Leaders responsible for education and culture, Chinese and EU scholars and graduate students attended the forum. As student representatives of the 28 EU countries, SDC 2014 Public Management Danish student, Frederikke Sofie Schwander and IC 2012 Ph.D Dutch student Mattijn Van Hoek spoke about "East-West Mutual Learning" in their own respective languages.
