The opening Ceremony of “Middle School Teachers Back to the University”, a training activity for outstanding physics teachers from senior middle schools around China, sponsored by UCAS, was held at the Yanqihu campus on 15 June.
Prof. Su Gang, Vice-President of UCAS, briefed the audience on the history and the current situation of UCAS explaining its advantages and unique mode of personnel training.
Several members of CAS were invited to deliver lectures, introducing cutting-edge physics and discussing problems regarding China’s education of middle school students and undergraduates, taking examples from their own experience. An active question & answer session followed the lectures.
All of the middle school teachers will visit the Institute of High Energy and the Academy of Mathematics and Systematic Sciences.
