On 14 March, UCAS Vice-President Prof. Wu Yueliang, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Western Australia (UWA) Prof. Iain Watt and former Chancellor of the Australian National University (ANU) Prof. Ian Young met together at the Sino-Australia Interscholastic Exchange at the Zhongguancun Campus of UCAS. Prof. Qiao Congfeng, director of the Research Affairs Office, and Prof. Yan Dunyan, director of Undergraduate Department, also attended.
The meeting implemented the consensus about undergraduate students visiting UWA next semester. A number of specific points were discussed in detail. The chancellor and student meeting in the morning of 15 March was the initial step. The list of professors who will attend the upcoming symposium between UCAS and UWA in April was settled. Prof. Wu and Prof. Young discussed the possibility of conducting international Cloud Teaching and Network Teaching.
