Have you ever heard about the land of simply beautiful? in early 2018 Laos have announced “ Visit Laos year 2018”, the name of which is called: “Laos simply beautiful”. Laos is a country yet untouched by the modern demands, stress and pace of life. Its beauty lies in the Lao people, centuries-old traditions and heritage, lush, and pristine landscape. Recently, on 14th October 2018 there was the event of International Cultural Festival for celebrating of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences 40th anniversary (1978-2018) at Yanqihu Campus. It was a best opportunity for Lao students who study in this university to propagate the beautiful culture, historic and proud to be Lao to show with the whole world.
We had a booth showing several things as: Lao’s handicraft, Lao-International cooperation magazine, especially Lao-China cooperation magazine, poster of Lao tourism, playing video about Laos discovery and tourism, Lao traditional dressing and the key is “Khaen Lao”
Khaen Lao is a musical instrument of the Lao people, which is related to the Lao people who can enjoy and contribute the unity among the Lao people, is also a supporter to the mind of our hometown; Khaen Lao has been played with folk songs of many parts of the country. Particular, it has been inscribed in 2017 on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
There were many international students and visitors were interested to visited and tried to playing with very enjoyed and very great atmosphere during the event day.
