On April 19, Professor Dmitry Shchukin from University of Liverpool visited Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP) for academic exchange and gave an academic report entitled "Nanocontainer-Based Active Systems: From Self-Healing Coatings to Thermal Energy Storage".
During the report, Professor Shchukin mainly introduced his researchon self-healing, energy storage, and drug release which are based on nanocontainers and the manufacture of high-performance semiconductor materials by ultrasonic treatment.
Dmitry Shchukin is a professor at Stephenson Institute for Renewable Energy, Department of Chemistry, University of Liverpool. His main scientific interests concern hollow nanocontainers, active nanoenvironment and interfacial sonochemistry. He is author of more than 210 research papers with an h-index of 57. He received Brian Mercer Feasibility Award of the Royal Society of Chemistry (UK) and other awards.
