I am a new UCAS PhD student with training unit at Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter under the tutelage and supervision of Professor Lixin Wu. I’m funded by the ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents.
Firstly, I congratulate all fellow students for joining this prestigious university and remind them about our good fortune in having a once in a lifetime opportunity of being admitted into UCAS.
I am fascinated about science and always having a Chinese Dream. I had my master degree in China and I believe the best place to fulfill my dream is the University of Chinese Academy of Science——A university that will give me knowledge, skills, confidence and most importantly the proper guide and mentorship to help me leave the world a better place than I have found it.
UCAS was ranked 49th internationally and first in China in the ESI report released in May 2021. This is what inspired me to work towards being a deserving candidate of this prestigious university, and I am grateful for the opportunity.
I and all international students will do our best to honor this opportunity with all that we got. I am positive that we all feel the weight and pressure on our shoulders to represent ourselves not only to our families but also to our countries and China.
At last, I would like to express my gratitude to the Chinese government, and ANSO for the help and the support to students from all the countries around the world.
May we all have a great academic year full of success!
