Recently, a group of international students led by Associate Professor CAO Zhihong, the project leader of the "Hello, China" Blue Ribbon Culture Project at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and lecturer of the course China Panorama, embarked on a journey to the Mutianyu Great Wall. The purpose of this event was to provide international students with a more intuitive sense of the profoundness of Chinese history and the brilliance of its culture through a site visit.
Under the meticulous planning and organization of Associate Professor CAO, the international students from all over the world embarked on this exploration journey with high expectations. Standing on the Great Wall, the international students were deeply impressed by the sight of the glorious chapter of ancient Chinese history.
During the visit, Associate Professor CAO elaborated on the historical background, construction techniques, and the status of the Great Wall in China's and even the world's cultural heritage. She pointed out that the Great Wall is not only the crystallization of the wisdom and blood of ancient Chinese working people but also one of the miracles in the history of human civilization. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Great Wall not only witnesses the historical changes of China but also the common development and progress of human civilization.
