In preparation for the arrival of new international students, The International College of UCAS, in collaboration with the Yuquan Road Campus Office and Logistics Management Office, conducted a comprehensive dormitory safety inspection for the 2025 autumn semester to identify potential hazards and improve living conditions, ensuring all incoming students can settle in with peace of mind and their families feel assured.

Mr. SI Bin, Director of the Yuquan Road Campus Office, and Mr. CHEN Feng, Associate Dean of the International College, led a thorough safety assessment in the student dormitories. The team meticulously examined bed frames and railings for stability, tested electrical wiring for potential hazards, and checked door and window locks for security. In the washroom areas, special attention was paid to drainage systems, hot water supply, and fire safety equipment. In the first-floor public area, the inspection focused on the safety of high-power appliances such as microwave ovens, including verification of circuit safety and proper usage guidelines.

“Dormitory safety is our top priority,” emphasized SI Bin. CHEN Feng added, “International students have traveled across oceans to choose China and UCAS for their studies. It is our priority to make them feel the warmth and safety of China from the moment they arrive.” Accompanying logistics staff documented issues identified during the inspection for immediate resolution.

This joint inspection not only significantly enhanced the safety standards of the dormitories, but also demonstrated UCAS’s commitment to international students through concrete actions. As the new semester begins, this meticulous preparation will build a warm and reliable first home for students from around the world.
