A delegation led by Professor Kim Dam-Johansen, Head of Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, Technical University of Denmark (DTU) visited GUCAS on 5 July, 2011. Prof. Deng Yong, Chairman of the University Council, GUCAS, met with them.
Prof. Yong expressed his welcome for the visit of Prof. Dam-Johansen and his respect for the academic achievements of DTU in both education and research. He also expressed his appreciation for what both GUCAS and the Danish Universities have done concerning the SDC project, promising that GUCAS will continue to spare no efforts to make continual progress for the project. He concluded by inviting Professor Dam-Johansen to participate in the 2nd Symposium and Workshop of SDC in August in Copenhagen.
Prof. Dam-Johansen gladly accepted the invitation. He noted that China has made considerable progress and is highly attractive to international students. He spoke highly of the SCD project and looks forward to carrying out more extensive cooperation with China in the field of renewable resources through the SDC.
