CAS and GUCAS President Bai Chunli Meets Prominent Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Official

On September 8th, Prof. Bai Chunli, President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and President of the Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, met in Beijing with Mr. Uffe Toudal Pedersen, the Permanent Secretary of the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.    

They discussed the history and current status of collaboration between China and Denmark in technology, research and education, and compared notes concerning the Sino-Danish Center of Education and Research (SDC). Prof. Bai said it has been a great pleasure to cooperate with Danish researchers, adding that Chinese students first took part in scientific research in Danish laboratories many years ago. He believed that such a cooperative relationship could be extended via SDC.

After the meeting, Prof. Bai hosted Mr. Pedersen on a visit to CAS History Gallery.

Prof. Deng Yong, Vice Secretary-General of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chairman of the University Council of the Graduate University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, also attended the meeting.
