Six International Students Awarded “Excellent Student”

On 20 December 2012, nine international students were awarded “Excellent Student” and received honorary certificates from Mr. Xie Yong, Deputy Director of the International Affairs Office. Mr. Xie firstly congratulated the awarded students, and also spoke highly of the other international students for their diligence in learning Chinese language and China history & culture. He wished all of the international students would achieve a great success in their future research career.

It is reported that a total of 45 international students from 17 countries joined in the language training in the 2012 fall semester. During the four months, they learned three courses, including “Basic Chinese”, “Spoken Chinese” and “China Introduction”. In addition, they visited the Forbidden City, Great Wall and other historical hotspots.

The 2012 fall semester is about to end. The 45 international students will return to their institutes throughout China for academic training and scientific research. Up to now, there are a total of 294 international students from 55 countries studying at UCAS.
