Executive Vice Dean Wang Shouyang Participated in 2013 EFMD Deans & Directors General Conference in Turkey

The Executive Vice Dean, Prof.Wang Shouyang, accompanied by the Dean’s Assistant, Associate Prof. Lu Ping, participated in 2013 EFMD Deans & Directors General Conference in Turkey from January 31st to February 1st.

 

 

Nearly 350 Deans from the business schools in 47 different countries and regions around the world participated in the conference.

 

 

The main topics of the presentations in the conference were around the business school accreditation, the development of the business schools in different regions during the last five years, the future of the business education, the expects of the employers towards the business professionals. Different discussions and forums were also conducted after the presentations.

 

 

At the beginning of the conference, Prof. Cheng Siwei, Dean of School of Management, gave a speech on the “The Future of Business Education” through video, and his speech won warm applause from the audience.

 

After being a member of EFMD, this is the first time for School of Management to participate in the annual EFMD Deans & Directors General Conference. We believe it will help accelerate the pace of internationalization of School of Management and it will promote the international accreditation of School of Management. Meanwhile, the cooperation between School of Management and other business schools were also enhanced after this conference.

EFMD Quality Improvement System EQUIS assesses institutions as a whole. It assesses not just degree programs but all the activities and sub-units of the institution, including research, e-learning units, executive education provision and community outreach. Institutions must be primarily devoted to management education.
