An inauguration ceremony was held for UCAS Kunming College of Life Science on Oct. 8 at Kunming Branch of CAS.
The ceremony was attended by CAS Vice-President Zhang Yaping, who also serves as honorary dean of the college, and Deng Yong, Vice Secretary-General of CAS and the Chairman of the University Council of UCAS as well as its Executive Vice President.
Kunming College of Life is so far the third specialized UCAS college, after Daheng College of UCAS and Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology. It aims to promote integration of scientific research and teaching by taking advantage of the rich resources in biological research and teaching in Southwestern China.
