Prof. WANG Shouyang Honored with Jr.Walter Scott Prize

Prof. WANG Shouyang, AMSS was honored with the 2014 Jr. Walter Scott Prize for his outstanding contributions on information technology and quantitative management.
 
Prof. WANG Shouyang is the Vice president of the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, the Director of Center for Forecasting Science of Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Director of Key Lab of Management, Decision and Information Systems of Chinese Academy of Sciences , TWAS (Third World Academy of Sciences Fellow) ,etc. His research areas cover financial management, logistics, and supply chain management, forecasting method and technology, and so on. He has published 20 monographs and over 190 papers in leading journals in the fields of management and economics. He has submitted over 120 policy research reports to the Chinese government, many of his policy suggestions have been adopted as the governmental economic policies.
 
 
The Jr. Walter Scott Prize is awarded to scientists who has made contributions to information technology and quantitative management, which was established by International Academy of Information Technology and Quantitative Management (IAITQM) in 2013. IAITQM was formally inaugurated in 2012 with more than 50 founding members.
