Chinese and Danish SDC Program Leaders Discuss Development

UCAS Vice-President Prof. Wu Yueliang met with Professor Lauritz B. Holm-Nielsen, Danish Director of Sino-Danish Center (SDC), in the Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics of CAS on March 11.

They both expressed their satisfaction with the ongoing progress of the SDC Program, and agreed to improve it by integrating science and education, in accordance with social needs.

They agreed to individually evaluate the SDC Program, afterward sharing the evaluation results with each other. In addition, they agreed to initiate a new program about Food and Health. Student management issues and SDC building management were also discussed.

Before the meeting, Professor Holm-Nielsen inspected the SDC Neuroscience and Imaging Program during his visit to the CAS Institute of Biophysics.

Danish Prof. Morten Laugesen and SDC Executive Dean Prof. HU Zhengyi, also took part in the meeting.

The 2015 SDC graduation ceremony will be held in July this year, when outstanding Chinese and Danish graduate students will be invited to the UCAS commencement ceremony.
The SDC Program will continue to be innovatively marketed in order to attract excellent graduate students.
