A delegation led by Prof. Lauritz B. Holm-Nielsen, SDC Danish Director and former president of Aarhus University, visited the Kunming Institute of Botany (KIB), CAS, on 17 to 20 November.
Prof. Sun Hang, KIB Director, welcomed the guests before describing the history, research domains, faculty team, scientific platform and international cooperation of KIB. Prof. Lauritz B. Holm-Nielsen expressed his hope for further exchanges and cooperation in cultivating SDC botany students.
The guests visited a State Key Laboratory of Phytochemistry and Plant Resources, a CAS Key Laboratory of Biodiversity and Biogeography, and a Germplasm Bank of Wild Species in Southwest China.
The Sino-Danish Center for Education and Research (SDC), co-built by the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MSTI), and Danish Universities, promotes and strengthens collaboration between Danish and Chinese research and learning environments for the benefit of both countries.
