A Delegation from National Polytechnic School of Ecuador Visits UCAS

On March 2nd, Prof. Jaime Calderon, rector of National Polytechnic School, Ecuador, visited UCAS. UCAS Vice-President Wu Yueliang met with the delegates at Zhongguancun campus.

 

 

Prof. Wu expressed his warm welcome to the Ecuadorian delegation. He hoped that UCAS can set up international program to promote research and educational cooperation with the South America area including Ecuador through mutual communication and visit.

 

 

Prof. Jaime asked about UCAS’s two-phase education mode and the admission evaluation methods for international students.

 

 

The two sides also discussed the admission procedures for international students to pursue academic degrees at UCAS. National Polytechnic School of Ecuador wished to start cooperation with related CAS institutes and send local students to study at UCAS.

 

 

The National Polytechnic School (EPN) was founded in 1869. It is a public university located in the capital city Giron. EPN is known for research and education in both pure science and applied science, with research groups advancing the fields of pure mathematics, applied mathematics, geophysics, astronomy, etc.  It is reported that EPN ranks the first in Ecuador.
