University of Western Australia Delegation Visits UCAS

Prof. Robyn Owens, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Western Australia (UWA) visited UCAS on 4 March, 2016. UCAS Vice-President Prof. Wu Yueliang met with the delegation at Zhongguancun campus. The two sides discussed the joint UCAS-UWA seminar being held in late April. Prof. Qiao Congfeng, Director of the Research Affairs Office, and Prof. Liu Jifeng, Deputy Director of the UCAS School of Astronomy and Space Science also attended.

Prof. Owens introduced the education and research background of UWA. She expressed her great interest in improving international cooperation with UCAS, especially with regard to the student and faculty exchange program. Prof. Owens also introduced the UWA experts in Physics and Astrophysics who will attend the joint seminar.

The two universities discussed the joint doctoral training program, the undergraduate program and the faculty exchange program. Both reached a consensus on collaboration.

The University of Western Australia (UWA) was founded in 1911 and is one of the leading universities in Australia. On 29 January, UCAS and UWA signed a MOU concerning the undergraduate exchange program.
