A delegation led by Prof. Lam Khin Yong, Chief of Staff & Vice President of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore(NTU Singapore), visited UCAS on March 9, 2017. UCAS Vice President Wu Yueliang, hosted their visit on Zhongguancun Campus. Prof. Hu Zhengyi, Executive Dean of Sino-Danish College and Prof. Wu Desheng, Deputy Dean of School of Economics and Management also attended.
After welcoming remarks, Wu Yueliang introduced UCAS’ recently innovative initiatives on higher education and scientific research. He said that UCAS relied on combination of education and research, "two stages" pattern of graduate student cultivation, international cooperation and international talent training programs to advance its educational career ahead.
Lam Khin Yong illustrated NTU’s development in campus infrastructure and NTU managerial structure. Professor Lam said, “NTU Singapore has a long-standing relationship with University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. This new collaboration in areas of mutual interest will deepen our ties further, with an important aim of translating research into beneficial outcomes for society.”
Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation between UCAS and NTU was signed. Under the five-year agreement, the two institutions will enhance joint research collaborations as well as ramp up visits and exchanges for students, academic and research staff.
Ranked 13th in the world, NTU has also been ranked the world’s top young university for the last three years running. A research-intensive public university, NTU Singapore has 33,500 undergraduate and postgraduate students.
On February 19, 2009, a senior NTU delegation visited UCAS and officially set up joint training programs with UCAS.
