Wu Yueliang, vice-president of CUAS Met Deputy Minister of Education of Brazil and Other Representatives

On the morning Nov. 19th, 2018, Henrique Sartori de Almeida Prado and other 14 relative representatives visited University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS). Visitors were from Minster of Education of Brazil, Brazilian Federal Support and Evaluation Graduate Education Agency (CAPES), 13 universities, academic exchange organizations and etc. Wu Yuelang, vice-president of UCAS welcomed and received all participants at Zhongguan Cun campus, UCAS.

Wu Liangyue warmly welcomed Sartori de Almeida Prade and other representatives and introduced scientific achievements of CAS, science and education integration school model exclusively owned by UCAS, Sino-Danish College and the development of international cooperation programs respectively. Then, Prof.Zhao Gongbo, dean of Department of Astronomy of School of Astronomy and Space Science, introduced the situations of School of Astronomy and Space Science, UCAS and National Astronomical Observatories, CAS.  

Henrique Sartori de Almeida Prado thanked for Wus reception and gave brief introductions of all the team members. He thought the visit would help him understand the education system of science and education integration in China and find opportunities to conduct cooperation with UCAS.

Members of the Brazilian delegation exchanged perceptions on conducting exchanges between Chinese students and Brazilian students, science and education integration and science and research cooperation. Both sides expressed their willingness to undertake further cooperation and exchange programs faithfully and eagerly.

Currently, although UCAS has no cooperative partner in Brazil, Space Science Center, CAS, has established South American Space Weather Research Center in Brazil and South China Botanical Garden has conducted various science and research cooperation programs in the country. 2 Brazilian doctoral candidates are now studying in UCAS.
