Recently, Dr. Bennaceur NAJJARI of Morocco gave an academic report entitled “Doubly Inelastic Transitions in Relativistic Heavy Ion-atom Collisions” to researchers and graduate students of the Institute of Modern Physics, and conducted in-depth discussions in public. NAJJARI's short-term work at the Institute of Modern Physics mainly involves the study of electron correlation theory in the collision of ions with atomic molecules, including the calculation of single and double ionization cross sections of helium atoms during collision of high energy heavy ions with helium atoms, and calculation of high energy heavy ions and helium atoms and thecapture cross section in the collision of helium dimers.

Researcher Ma Xinwen forwarded the certificate of "CAS President's International Fellowship Initiative (PIFI) - International Visiting Scholar” for NAJJARI, and warmly welcomed him to work in Lanzhou, and thanked him for his support and help to the research work of the Institute. NAJJARI expressed sincere gratitude for the honor of the "CAS President’s International Fellowship Initiative (PIFI) -international Visiting Scholar ".

NAJJARI received his Ph.D. from Metz University in France in 1997. He has worked in the University of Freiburg, the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics and the University of Strasbourg, France. He is currently a senior scholar at the Academy of Sciences in Strasbourg, France. He is mainly engaged in the theoretical study of quantum multibody problems in atomic and molecular collision processes, the theoretical study of interaction processes of atomic systems under strong field conditions, and the study of single and double ionization and multi-center electron correlation theory in the presence or absence of laser fields.
